In addition, every employee at Mariners Christian School is a Christian who regularly attends church and maintains a lifestyle consistent with the moral standards stated in the Mariners Christian School contract and the Declaration of Moral Integrity.

Each employee at Mariners Christian School must meet the following requirements:

  • Be able to show evidence of accepting Jesus as his/her personal Savior and be able to articulate a personal relationship with Him, as well as provide evidence of regular church attendance. 
  • Maintain a lifestyle consistent with the moral standards stated in the Mariners Christian School contract and the Declaration of Moral Integrity. 
  • Be in agreement with and sign the MCS Statement of Faith.
  • Have criminal history clearance expressly for MCS. (Fingerprinting to be arranged at hire.)

OPEN POSITIONS:  

TK-1st Grade Teacher: Start date: August 19, 2024. Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June). Pay Range: $54,324 – $76,654 (Commensurate with education and experience). Mariners Christian School seeks highly qualified, full-time teachers in lower elementary. Elementary teachers are seen as vital in maintaining a positive and healthy learning environment in which students can flourish. Teachers who have fidelity towards multi-tiered systems of support, small group differentiated instruction and workshop instructional framework are strongly encouraged to apply.

Classroom Aide: Start date: August 19, 2024. Hours: M-F; 7:30-3:30 Full time with benefits. Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June). Starting Range: Starting hourly range commensurate with education and experience: $17.16 – $21.81. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates’ qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc. The classroom aide is a support to the teacher in the classroom and to the lead aide on the playground. Classroom Aide has classroom responsibilities to better meet the needs of the students in the TK, Kindergarten, and First Grade programs. Classroom Aide has specific playground duties designed to promote the safety and well-being of students at all grade levels. Classroom Aide has carpool duties that support the ease of traffic flow into and out of the campus; also facilitating the safety of drivers and students.

Receptionist: Start date: August 1, 2024. Hours: M-F; 7:30-4:00 Full time with benefits. Traditional school year: 10-month position (Late August through mid-June). Starting Range: Starting hourly range commensurate with education and experience: $20 – $25. The rate of pay within the specified range may be adjusted at any time by the appointing authority based on the candidates’ qualifications, prior experience, education level, etc. The receptionist is responsible for managing all incoming calls. The receptionist greets and directs walk-in parents and visitors, records elementary attendance, and distributes mail. The receptionist will provide support to Administration, Admissions, and Advancement with various projects. In addition, the receptionist will provide first aid care and health assessment and communicate with teachers and staff to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
