I am excited and honored to serve as the Principal for the new Mariners Christian School Oceanside campus that will launch for the 2024-2025 school year. MCS is truly grateful to open a second campus on the grounds of Mariners Church, Oceanside.
Our mission, “building a firm foundation through Christ-centered education” has guided us for over 37 years and this will continue to be true for MCS Oceanside. Our commitment to seeing every student thrive in a Christ-honoring environment is unwavering.
We are a distinctly Christian, covenant school dedicated to the continual pursuit of our core values to foster a deep Love for Christ, provide Exemplary Academics, build Connected Community, and promote a Culture of Innovation with a purposeful Focus on the Whole Child.
David writes in Psalm 139 “I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it well.” We believe that each student is uniquely and wonderfully made in the image of God. Through programs such as Maker Education, Art, and Music, MCS is passionate about nurturing and growing the unique gifts and passions of each child.
In addition, MCS strives to foster a joy of learning through rigorous and comprehensive instruction, academic programs, and curriculum all taught through a Biblical worldview. Differentiation is provided through small group instruction as we provide safe and nurturing learning environments that engage students in their learning.
It is our prayerful desire that our students develop a deep love for Christ reflected in their hearts, actions, and character. We want students to know Jesus’ love for them, His truth, and that their identity is found in Him. Rated one of the best Christian schools in Orange County, MCS is a co-educational, independent Christian school that started in Costa Mesa, California in 1987. Since our first day, our mission is “building a firm foundation through Christ-centered education” in the heart and mind of every child.
Mariners Christian School is committed to building a strong foundation through a Christ-centered education for Orange County families. God launched our private Christian school with the belief that character development and exemplary academics can be offered in a single program. We’ve had big dreams and He has been with us each step of the way.
As we embark on opening our second campus in Oceanside, we welcome you to learn what we plan to offer in the 2024-2025 school year for TK through 1st grade students. Our current families, alumni, grandparents and community friends have prayed fervently, and as part of our 5-year strategic plan, our prayers have been answered to provide Oceanside families an option for a Christian education.
